Iben Family Beach Vacation

The second week in July we headed to the Oregon coast for a much needed family vacation. We were fortunate enough the have GP, Kim, Madison and Andrew join us for the trip. We stayed at my fabulous Aunt Julia's beach house which far exceeds a hotel any day. The first few days we spent relaxing on the beach enjoying our new freedom. After we got the stress off us we spent time sightseeing the area.

If you have ever traveled with an almost 2 year old child you know that changes in schedule and eating out is a hard thing to accomplish. Having use of the beach house allows us to keep Jack on a schedule and not have to eat out. It is really a perfect situation for us all.

Poor Alex had a cough for the first few days which turned into a very high fever and lack of appetite. Children's Tylenol seemed to help and get rid of it for the most part. When we arrived home on Wednesday his fever was back, which lead us to a quick appt to see if he was ok. After 3 x-rays it was confirmed it was pneumonia. The poor kid is so good he never complained about anything, except me making him eat yogurt.
